pre pre x'mas weekend marathon

what a hectic week (and weekend) it was.. am looking to sell my property and purchase another so have been meeting up with agents, getting valuations, going for viewings, etc.. the best thing is, i dun know if i'm ready for that next step yet. i have been seeing this girl, S, for the past yr and a half and she's great - smart, pretty, loving and all.. guess i've grown out of the outlook phase (whereby my partner needs to be a 1.7m C-cupper, preferably with a lean body and a killer tan - OTT, ain't it? might as well date Gisele) and am now just looking for someone to spend the rest of my life with.. the kind u wanna see every night before u sleep, the first thing u gaze on when u open ur eyes in the morning and all other times in between..   thing is, am i ready for this phase now or will i still rather see different people in my bed? tough one, will come back to this later..

held a chalet over the weekend. it was meant to be a one-nighter with colleagues to catch up, drink, bitch and all but from such a simple idea, it grew, and grew, and grew, and literally swallowed me in.

draft 1 - organise a drinking session. find location.
no one's place was big or convenient enough. find alternative. news got around and the initial group of less than 10 swelled to 20-25 pax

draft 2 - organise a drinking session at a venue big enough to accommodate +/- 20 colleagues
chalet sounded great. went online to check, min 2 nights

draft 3 - organise a drinking session at a venue big enough to accommodate +/- 20 colleagues for 2nd night and my friends for 1st night
some colleagues cannot make it on 2nd night, ask to come on 1st. some wanna bring family along, some wanna bring friends along. some wanna BBQ. almost all wanna get knackered one point or another

draft 4 - organise a drinking session for colleagues and our friends on the 1st night and arrange for BBQ for colleagues and our families on the 2nd
great, sorted. chalet confirmed, expenses budgeted. monies collected. food, utensils, mixers, misc for 2nd night ordered online. good to go..

*then someone suggested BBQ on 1st night too, cos gotta have some food to go with the copious amount of alcohol that will be consumed

draft 5 - 2nd night sorted. plan for BBQ and obscene amount of drinks for 1st night
which was obviously out of budget cos all monies were allocated for official BBQ on 2nd night. dug into own pocket and became santa claus

but it din stop there. miscellaneous expenses such as cups, ice, bbq pit, paper towels, hand wash, styrofoam boxes, staying up late gambling, whisky parades, grilling food, lack of sleep.. u get my drift right?

but end of it all, just hope that everyone had a great time. cos it'll just make it all worthwhile.
